Many who use inkjet printers have experienced using not only the brand new cartridges but also the remanufactured ones in the hope to save some money. Cartridge manufacturers may not like this since the sales drastically went down and continually stay down with the emergence of remanufactured cartridges, unless new printers with new cartridges are produced. On second thought, though, it is friendly to the environment that a single cartridge be used over and over again before replacing it. Those who are using continuous ink (CISS) are even doing the environment a bigger favor by not using any cartridge at all.
